Further notes on _Panthera pardus pernigra_ (Hudgson, 1863)
1969  Zoologischer Anzeiger (182): 52-55

A short time ago I was able to report on a pair of rare Himalayan leopards kept in the Prague Zoological Garden. Later I could study the material in the British Museum and collect further information about the distribution of this subspecies, so that I would like to add some supplementary notes now. Since I was able to observe the pair kept in Prague daily during the course of 11 and 9 years, respectively, and in the case of the female moreover also the growing out (since this specimen came to Prague still in the coat of a child, I am well aware of the age and seasonal changes in the coat and color of these animals. This enabled me to examine the skins in the British Museum (N.H.) also from this aspect.
