Leopards from Farther India and the southernmost provinces of China

The first news about the leopard from the southernmost provinces of China, namely from Kwantung, was given by Swinhoe in 1870. At a meeting of the Zoological Society in London, this researcher presented a leopard skin that was łvery richly coloured and marked, but otherwise agreeing with the Leopard of Indiał.
