Slightly larger than a house cat, the Andean or mountain cat measures between 23-30 in (58-76 cm) and weighs 8-15 lb (3.6.7 kg). Its long, soft coat is silver-gray with dark markings above, pale to white below with black spots. Its bushy tail has a series of dark rings and a pale tip. Diet consists of small mammals, birds, lizards and rodents. |
