Felidae are highly specialized carnivores, in fact the most specialized family in the suborder and order. Size is small, moderate, or large. The smaller species has a body length of about 50 cm and weighs 2.0 to 3.0 kg, while the largest species (Amur tiger) measures up to 300 cm in length and weighs up to 390 kg.
