This document contains a conservation strategy and an action plan for the Sumatran tiger in Indonesia. A summary of the current population status, threats, a population viability analysis, and 4 conservation priorities are presented: 1) wild tiger and habitat protection 2) development of tiger interventive management strategies 3) development of captive breeding program 4) implementation of the conservation strategy. Coordinating structures and funding are further discussed. The action plan outlines required actions in more detail. |
