We appreciate Saberwal's articulate comments on the Wildlife Conservation Society's recent report, Saving the Tiger: A Conservation Strategy (Norchi & Bolze 1995). We agree that devolving authority and responsibility for natural area management to a more local level is frequently an effective approach to conservation, an approach that is wideley recognized. |
