It may only be a slight exaggeration to say that there are as many methods of counting tigers as there are people out in the woods counting the beasts. These methods range all the way from confident assertions, such as ùI know how to count tigers because of my experience and field-craftù - to the rather more qualified approaches of modern wildlife biology.
