Vanishing Point - An investigation into cross-border wildlife trade between Laos and Vietnam | |
1998 Full Book | |
Route 8 runs east from Bolikhamxay Province (Laos) across the Annamite mountain range at the Nam Phao/Cau Treo border crossing into Ha Tinh province (Vietnam). Improved road conditions now allow passage from Vientiane to the coastal port of Vinh (Nghe An province, Vietnam) in under 10 hours, which makes Route 8 a prime conduit for wildlife trade between Laos and Vietnam. |
