The Giant Cheetah, _Acinonyx pardinensis_ | |
1968 Book Chapter | |
The Giant Cheetah is known mainly from the Villafranchian, beginning with the basal level, although it did survive in the early Middle Pleistocene. The Villafranchian was clearly its heyday in Europe, its slender limb bones and typical teeth are quite common in the Villafranchian, at Pardines, Villaroya, SenŠze, Olivola and other sites. |
