Spatial occupancy of introduced lynx _Felis lynx_ L. in the Vosges mountains - first results
1986 Gibier Faune Sauvage - Game and Wildlife (3): 67-81
The home-ranges of lynx (Felis lynx L.), three males and two females, introduced into the Vosges, E. France, overlapped extensively, and there were no clear differences between the sexes in the degree of overlap or the size of the ranges. The animals occupied successively a number of small areas which were irregularly distributed within the large home-ranges (516 km2 over the first half year). Within these small areas the lair used by day was not fixed, though the same one was sometimes used for several days at a time. |
