Identification and evaluation of candidate Florida panther population reestablishment sites

Population reestablishment is essential to achieve recovery of the Florida panther. With only one wild population remaining, at least two additional populations will have to be reestablished to achieve the Revovery Plan's objective of a minimum of three viable, self-sustaining populations within the panther's historic range.
