Tom Dyer, effectively stated what the problem is, and what the challenge is that faces all of us. There tends to be an us-vs-them approach to the panther issue. There's the urban group, the environmental group, the regulators, the landowners, and it's all us-vs.-them. It has been almost 30 years since the Florida panther was listed as a federally designated endangered species. Many studies, many meetings and much effort have been expended and much money spent to determine what should be done to protect the panther. |
