I think I have some good news for you, in relation to highway mortality of panthers along the state highways. That good news comes in three forms. One, the existing mortality of panthers has been significantly reduced with what we have out there now. The second thing is we found a good way to get the animals across the highways in the animal crossings. And the third thing is that the Department has wildlife crossings in their five year work programs for the major highways in south Florida. |
