This study has 3 aims: (1) we summarise the new results concerning lynx population dynamics that have been produced from the last 10 years of research in Scandinavia, (2) we summarise the development of the lynx population in Norway in the period 1996-2002 and try to explain this trend, and (3) we examine the present hunting system in light of these results and make some recommendations for improvement. |
