On 21 February 1993, I was on a routine fruiting phenology survey of some evergreen forest trees in the Karian Shola National Park, neat the settlement of Top Slip in the Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu. At 0915 hr I was squatting on the buttress root of a large tree in gloomy forest, attending to a nature's call. |
