The jungle cat, Felis chaus Gldenstaedt, 1776, has extended from Egypt northeastwards through Jordan and the Middle East to the borders of the Caspian Sea and Afghanistan, ranging further east via India, Sri Lanka, Burma and Thailand to southwestern China. |
