The tiger has played a major role in Indian mythology. The _vahanu _(vehicle) of _Durga_ ist often a lion. But there is a subtle distinction between _Vishnu Durga_ and _Siva Durga_, which very few people know about. The _Vishnu Durga _rides the lion and the _Siva Durga_ the tiger. |
