One of the strangest episodes in the history of tiger conservation in relation to poaching is the figure of one. In fact stated by the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) is the figure of one tiger poached between January to July of 1995. The actual reality is that many more tigers were poached in this period but to understand the system and its erratic functioning we must understand how the system defines poaching, seizures or distinguishes between them. |
