WWF-India filed a petition in the Dehli High Court on October 28, 1993, narrating the history of wildlife legislation of India, and the details of reported poachings and seizures. It requests the court to direct the government to take all necessary steps to protect the wild animals, in particular tiger, from being illegally hunted. |
