Programme for the conservation of the Iberian lynx (_Lynx pardinus_) in Andalusia
2002  Conference Proceeding

This program is intended to design and develop a program for the conservation of the species such that the measures contemplated in the Recovery Plan are effectively implemented while the plan is endorsed. It is further intended to take the necessary steps so that as many sociopolitical entities as possible commit themselves to the recovery of the species under an eventual Andalusian Agreement for the Iberian lynx. A genetic reserve of lynxes from Andalusia for future translocation and captive breeding and an Advisory Committee for the Iberian lynx in Andalusia are to be established. The program is complemented by the EU Life-Nature 2002-2006 Project 'Recuperacion de las poblaciones de Lince Iberico en Andalucia'.
