The extinct Cape lion

The recent discovery at the Transvaal Museum, Pretoria, of what is believed to be the only known non-fossil quagga skull in existence in South Africa, has led Dr. B. Lundholm, mammal expert at the Museum, to hope that a skull of the extinct Cape lion may in its turn be brought to light in some part of the country.
