Distribution and present status of the Andean cat (_Oreailurus jacobita_) in Bolivia

The Andean Cat (Felis jacobita Cornalia 1865 ) , is a little-known species of feline, whose apparent distribution is restricted to the altoandina zones of Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and northwest Argentina (Cabrera, 1961). It is also considered rare according to the IUCN Red Book (1982) and is in Appendix 1 of CITES (Novak, 1992).
