Geraads, D.
First record of _Dinofelis_ (Felidae, Mammalia) from North Africa
2004  Neues Jahrbuch fr Geologie und Pal„ontologie / Monatshefte (2004): 308-320

Fragmentary dental and cranial remains from the Late Pliocene of Ahl al Oughlam in Morocco are referred to_ Dinofelis _Zdansky, 1924. The peculiar mastoid process, large conical upper canine and probable retention of P2 set this from aside from other species of the genus, shich had not been reported from North Africa previously. However, in other feature, it is closer to the Siwalik species _D. cristata _than other African ones.
