Status of lynx in New Brunswick
2005  Wild Cat News (2005): 1-2

The Canada lynx is a regionally endangered furbearer in New Brunswick. Its listing as "Regionally Endangered" under the New Brunswick Endangered Species Act has resulted in prohibitions against harvest, possession, and trade. New Brunswick has been a member of the Northern Appalachian Lynx Science Team and has collaborated with other wildlife agencies about regional conservation issues regarding Canada lynx. The ongoing biological data collection and surveys that currently exist, in combination with continued collaboration with other agencies responsible for Canada lynx management, will hopefully provide a better understanding of Canada lynx population dynamics in New Brunswick and will help with future management initiatives.
