Notice on the current status of some wild mammals of the North Senegalese Sahel

This paper focuses on the status of some wild mammals occurring in Northern Senegal. According to local inhabitants, cheetah would have gone extinct recently while he could have survived in some areas in Ferlo (a cheetah seem to have been observed in 1981 at Yare-Lao). Cet article se concentre sur le statut des mammifŠres sauvages pr‚sents dans le nord du S‚n‚gal. Selon les habitants, le gu‚pard se serait ‚teint r‚cemment mais il pourrait survivre dans certaines r‚gions du Ferlo (un gu‚pard aurait ‚t‚ observ‚ en 1981 … Yare-Lao).
