This document is part of the report on the 'Status and conservation of the Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) in Europe 2001'. It contains information on the status of the lynx in the following countries: Albania, Austria, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, and Croatia. Distribution maps are provided for each country and population size and trends, together with a description of census methods, are listed. The country reports further discuss legal status, hunting and other causes of death, threats to the lynx populations, conflicts with humans, and management measures currently in place.
