The EPAA's role in combating the illegal trade in wildlife is to inform the Sharjah Government on the current species list of CITES, of which the UAE is a signatory. Animals that are confiscated within the Emirate of Sharjah under these regulations are handed over to the EPAA and are held at the Breeding Centre for Endangered Arabian Wildlife in Sharjah for veterinary treatment and rehabilitation. |
