A device to safely remove immobilized mountain lions from trees and cliffs
1996  Wildlife Society Bulletin (24): 537-539

Mountain lions sometimes do not flee after being injected with the immobilizing agent. In some instances, a treed animal needs be secured so that cannot fall to the ground as narcosis develops. We developed a simple device to safely restrain a partially immobilized lion from distances <8m, thereby decreasing the likelihood of damage from an unrestrained fall and enhancing the safety of researchers.
