Geraads, D.
A new felid (Fissipeda, Mammalia) from the Middle Pleistocene of Morocco: _Lynx thomasi_ n. sp
2009  G‚obios (13): 441-444

The site known as Thomas quarry III (Cassablanca, Morocco) yielded, together with a middle Pleistocene (Tensiftian) fauna, the lower jaw of a lynx, _Lynx thomasi_ n. sp., whose dentition is characterized by high and complex premolars, and a very long carnassial. This new species might be descended from post-villafranchian European lynxes.
