2006 Cat News (44): 24-24 | |
The Andean cat _Oreailurus jacobita_ is one of the leastknown and perhaps the least common of the South American felids (Perovic et al. 2003). Previously it has been found only in arid and semiarid habitats at altitudes between 3,000 and 5,000 m above sea level in the Andes of Per£, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina (Yensen & Seymour 2000, Walker & Novaro 2003). |
