Likeness between the food habits of Europe an wildcats, domestic cats and their hybrids in France
2009  Mammalian Biology (74): 412-417

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the likeness between the food habits of wildcats, domestic cats and hybrids in France by comparing their degree of specialization and by estimating their trophic niche overlap. Attempts have also been made to identify the habitat where the meetings may occur (meadows/ forests/human settlements) from the one of the food items they share. Food habits were assessed through their identification of undigested remains found in the stomachs of 59 road- killed adult cats collected from 2001 to 2006 in the French range area of the European wildcat.
