Beyond captive breeding: Re-introducing endangered species to the wild
1990  International Zoo News (219): 4-8

In playing out this role zoos are also in a position to advance the science of conservation biology and to capture the interest and enthusiasm of people. Captive breeding and re-introduction of endangered animals into the wild is not without critics. Some of them are dealt with in this article.
