Populations Status and Principal Threats for Large Carnivores in alpine areas of Turkey
2008  Conference Proceeding

The large carnivore species in Turkey are in constant but various competition with human beings. As a result, it is seen that while brown bear, Eurasian lynx and caracal populations across the country are relatively stable or in some areas on a gradual increase, wolf populations tend to decrease, and leopard, tiger and striped hyena populations are on the verge of extinction. Threats are mentioned.
