A review of management systems of the national Parks and other protected areas in Peninsular Malaysia

This paper described the size, location, accessibility, climatic features, geology, flora, fauna, recreational resources and facility available within Taman Negara which is the sole National Park in Peninsular Malaysia. It also discussed the national park management systems which included its objectives, administration, law enforcement, interpretive programs and maintenance of resources. Management systems of other areas for threatened and endangered species, elephant _(Elephas maximus)_ translocation, captive breeding and wildlife research were reviewed.
