2010  Full Book

This study focuses on the use of the human dimensions approach as a tool for improving wildlife management in general, and large carnivore conservation in particular. The first section is a review on the use and role of human dimensions in wildlife management in the European continent. The second section is a research paper on a case study of applied human dimensions research for the conservation of large carnivores in Albania. The overall aim is to show that disparities in public attitudes towards different species should be taken into consideration when designing conservation and management practices for large carnivores.
