After a year's operation, the park staff are now able to more precisely identify poaching hotspots and can thus focus resources more effectively. new substations and more staff have mean't that more of the park is protected by regular patrolling. This year the rangers round and destroyed 7274 snares, 144 charcoal kilns and confiscated 45 chainsaws.
