Canine distemper and toxoplasmosis in a captive snow leopard _(Uncia uncia)_ - a diagnostic dilemma

In 2002, an adult snow leopard at Zoo Salzburg developed symptoms of CD and died despite aggressive symptomatic treatment within 3 days of onset. CDV infection was confirmed by immune fluorescence (IF) and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). In this report, we give a brief case history and describe the main clinical, pathological and laboratory findings.
