On the basis of numerous observations carried out for the last 22 years the occurrence of three large predators: lynx, wolf, and bear in the Pieniny National Park is analyzed. The direct observations of animals, their tracks, and other traces of their activity as well as their preys were used in this analysis. Also the changes taking place in the natural environment and their effect on problems of protection of large predators are discussed. |
