This studbook database includes all tigers recorded in North American facilities with lineages traceable back to wild-caught Malayan tigers. This consists of tigers imported into and/or living in the U.S. from 1990 to the present. There is no record of verifiable Malayan tigers in North America outside of U.S. zoological institutions (i.e., privately owned). All North American data were collected from and verified by the holding institutions and are current through 1 July 2010. |
