Second international seminar on the conservation of the Iberian lynx - conclusions
2004  Conference Proceeding

Two years have gone by since the I International Seminar on the Iberian Lynx was held in And£jar (Ja‚n), a very short period of time but which, given the delicate situation of the most threatened feline on earth, favours a critical assessment of the situation of the species, as well as of the efforts being carried out from different areas, to review the agreements reached at that meeting. The species is still in a "critical damage", with a stabilisation of the population in And£jar-Carde¤a observed and a regressive trend in the area of Do¤ana. The continuous tracking conducted in the last few years is essential to know not only the dynamics of the population but also to assess the effects of the different conservation measures being taken.
