Lafuente, R.
Human attitude survey in potential Iberian lynx reintroduction areas in Sierra Morena
2008  Conference Proceeding

The success of the Iberian lynx reintroduction in areas historically inhabited by this species depends, to a great extent, on the collaboration of the people living in those areas. A reintroduction project must avoid, or at least preview, the possible conflicts of interests that can stem from the practice of certain conservation measures. The study "Public Opinion about the Iberian Lynx in the Possible Reintroduction Areas in Andalusia" was set in motion with this criterion. This study was developed by the Institute for Advanced Social Studies of Andalusia (IESA/CSIC) by request of the Environment Regional Ministry of the Junta de AndalucĀ”a, and it is part of the preparatory actions of the 06NAT/00209 LIFE project "Conservation and Reintroduction of the Iberian lynx in Andalusia".
