Katzenjammer vorbei? (Is the cat misery over?)
1994 Nationalpark (4): 17-21
There is no comparable example of a carnivore in our country which was constantly denied due to lack of knowledge and aimed false information, as it was the case with the European wildcat. Only in remote forest parts in the Eifel, Palatinian forest and the Harz, rest populations of the elusive wildcat survived until 1934 when it was put under protection. 10 years ago the Nature conservancy of Bavaria started to reintroduce captive bred wildcats into the Spessart, Steiger forest and the middle Oberpfalz. |
