Spastic paraparesis in young snow leopards (_Panthera uncia_)
1984  Book Chapter

Since 1976 a number of snow leopard cubs born at the Helsinki Zoo have shown congential muliople ocular colobomas (MOC). In 1983 three of the cubs with MOC later developed a disorder of locomotion, characterized by weakness of the hind legs. In three additional animals born in 1982 to the same mother this motor disorder occurred independently. The purpose of this paper is to describe the clinical and pathological features of two of the affected animals.
