Lesions of the coxofemoral joint occur with varying frequencies in many species of domestic animals. The incidence of hip dysplasia in domestic felids has been estimated at approximately 0.005%. However, only one mention of a dysplastic coxofemoral joint disease involving nondomestic felids has been reported in recent literature. This report will describe the diagnosis of bilateral coxofemoral dysplasia in a snow leopard (_Panthera uncia_). |
