Conservationists around the world are raising alarms over human-wildlife conflicts. Carnivores feature prominently in these warnings because some species cause serious economic damage and may even prey on humans. This issue is playing an increasingly prominent role in conservation conferences, including the World Parks Congress 2003 in Durban, South Africa. |
