Die Wildkatze in der Schweiz ausgestorben? (Is the wildcat in Switzerland extinct?)
1946  Full Book

If the wildcat still occurs in Switzerland is debated. Some think that there are still some individuals remaining in the remote forest areas of the mountains, others say that the wildcat is already extinct. The situation of this shy and elusive animal is difficult to assess. Moreover, some domestic cat look really similar to the wildcats and they can be confused with each other. This report likes to bring some light in the current debate and to answer the question if the wildcat is already extinct in Switzerland or not.
