Regional collaboration on Arabian leopard conservation
2012  Cat News (57): 21-21

With a fewer than 200 individuals left in the wild, the critically endangered Arabian leopard _Panthera pardus nimr_ needs urgent and sound conservation actions to prevent it from slipping to extinction. Collaboration between range countries has been highlighted in the regional conservation strategy plan as an essential step that must be taken if the leopard is to survive in the wild. Here I report of regional collaboration efforts between Oman, Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
