Javan leopard (_Panthera pardus melas_) is one of endemic and endangered animals of Java island. One of efforts to keep its existence is through ex situ conservation, as example in Cikembulan Animal Park. The objectives of this research were to study captive breeding and welfare rate of Javan leopard in Cikembulan Animal Park. The implementation performance of welfare was obtained using PKBSI (Indonesia Zoo Association) method. Captive breeding management which includes housing aspect, was not ideal yet, although the size of the enclosure has sufficient minimum size, feeding aspect was ideal, health aspect was good although the medical feature wasn't available enough, reproduction and adaptation was good. Welfare rate of javan leopard according to manager was 80.60% with category of very good, while according to observer, it was 65.11% with category of enough.
