Kajian Musim Kawin Harimau Sumatera (_Panthera tigris sumatrae_) pada Lembaga Konservasi di Indonesia

The aim of the study is to find out the reproduction pattern especially breeding season of sumateran tiger in ex-situ habitat or conservation institution (zoo and safari park) in Indonesia. The reproductive data were obtained from sumateran tiger regional and international studbook 2004-2010. The time of breeding were decided from the time of birth subtracted by the number of average pregnancy duration that range from 95 to 110 days or three months. The result of this study showed that sumateran tiger breed throughout the year; therefore, the Sumatran tiger in conservation institution in Indonesia are non-seasonal breeders.
