This International Studbook contains 365 (153,126,86) Gordon's wildcats. It includes 6 (3.3) wild-born animals and 359 (150.123.86) were captive born. All of the currently known 6 wild-caught animals bred so far. The first successful birth in this studbook was at Christian Gross, UAE, in 1986. On 31.12.2014 the population consists of 61 (31.30) wildcats alive in 12 institutions. Average life expectancy is 6,6 years, 30 day mortality is 31%. The oldest recorded animal was almost 20 years. The oldest currently living is 17,8 years old. Generation time is 5,7 years. Current Gene Diversity is 0,8709. Mean Inbreeding is 0,0728. |
